English Anglican priest and poet. One of the leaders of the Oxford Movement. Keble College, Oxford, is named after him.
ALS Autograph Letter Signed, three panels of small folded sheet. Dated 25 March 1855, Hursley (where he is buried). In part reads: My dear Lord, I send Miss Renaald's note to Mr. Simson, thinking it was left accidentally. There has been so much coming and going since you went that I have not been able to get up a dispatch for your Archdeacon, though I must own it is a pressing debt. Please to give my true love & say I hope to write to him before long. We shall thank you in our hearts as long as we live for your kindness in coming to us. He continues to say Charlotte was not at all the worse...for being temptd down the stairs though the continued harsh weather does not leave her quite untouched.
